Jerome H. Davis is the third generation in her family to have a passion for interior design and fine furniture. Growing up in North Carolina shaped her style, knowledge of quality and love for fine furniture and decorating the home. Her grandfather was an engineer in furniture manufacturing and her father was the inventor of the carbide bits that would cut detailed carved fronts and architectural details in fine furniture.
Jerome moved to Florida in 1976 and worked as a furniture representative with her husband, Andy Davis. Jerome and her husband worked with all of the North Central Florida and South Georgia furniture stores selling the most prestigious furniture lines. After the death of her husband in March of 1994 Jerome decided to carry on their love of furniture by opening The Glen Addie Collection – a beautiful and inspirational home décor studio located in Gainesville, Florida. Jerome felt this was the best venue to continue her love of making the home beautiful but also carry on her duty as a single parent. The Glen Addie Collection carried the finest lines of furniture, artwork and accessories. It was the premiere furniture store in North Central Florida and embraced by the lovers of beautiful elements of the home. Glen Addie introduced Jerome Davis and her innate design talents to the people of North Central Florida. With the help of a great staff Glen Addie set the bar for design in the area. The Glen Addie Collection and Jerome were featured many times in the Gainesville Sun and in the Florida magazine.
In 2000, Jerome decided to reposition herself as an independent Interior Decorator. Jerome always has the customers best interest at heart and felt that she could be a better advocate for the customer through in-home consultations. Jerome merged Glen Addie with Interior Associates and her education in new construction and major remodeling projects began. That is where it all clicked. Jerome was able to create beautiful sanctuaries for her clients and also design a home from the ground up. Her love of the art of decorating the home continues in Gainesville, Florida and Jerome enjoys each challenge a new project presents. Jerome’s work has been featured in the Gainesville Sun and the Gainesville Magazine.
